But I hate shopping in store, and it's entirely because of their employees. The people who work there are almost always snotty and act like they're manning the counter at Tiffany & Co. (And the last time I checked, JCrew did not sell diamond tennis bracelets).
I get that everyone wants to be proud about their job, but why is it that "rude" seems to be a required qualification for the SA's at some stores? It does not endear me to those brands.
I completely agree! I also find that the stores don't have as much selection and sizes as the catalog/website.
ReplyDeletewaaaaaaaay better via the internet w/j crew. all the way!
ReplyDeletethere's nothing worse than bad sales people-- i wonder what j.crew higher ups would do if they knew how many customers and sales they lose to snotty, unfriendly sales people!!! that's why i love etsy-- most people i come in contact with are truly lovely ( sellers and buyers). it
ReplyDeletes a breath of fresh air!
ahh im with you! i always come in...and walk to the sales racks haha...and i get this look like 'oh fabulous the cheap riffraff is here'
ReplyDeletealas, their stuff is lovely!
I'm with you on that one!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT ALL!!!
That's not right...they better be nicer, especially with the down economy! Internet we go I guess...click-click!
ReplyDeleteYa know--there are things sold on-line for pretty much EVERY store ever that are not sold IN the actual stores---What's up with that?! You'd think they'd let people KNOW that or something...
ReplyDeleteFor the same reasons I only like to shop on the internet. I always get this hovering feeling walking in their stores. HEre's to clicking and shopping!
ReplyDeleteI remember being scarred by the rude J. Crew employees back in high school.
ReplyDeleteHowever, now I just wish I could have it back. I miss it so much! (no J. Crew in Hong Kong)
I saw this over the weekend and wanted to comment...I love jcrew and stop in there all the time sometimes to "just look" and others to actually buy things! I have pieces that I've had forever bc they are so well made that I can wear them a million times. and, I agree...the internet is much better for the shopping there. I guess it makes sense since way back when they were strictly catalouge.
ReplyDeleteI love your picks... love J Crew. Sounds like I'm *lucky* I've never actually been inside one of their stores. hmmm...
ReplyDeletelove their catalog's and website, though.
