Recycle . Reinvent
The other day my mom sent me a story from the New York Times' House & Garden section. The article focused on Dan Phillips, a Texas homebuilder who makes low-income houses out of almost entirely recycled materials. So not only is Mr. Phillips doing his bit to help out his community, he's doing double-duty and helping out the environment as well.
He uses all kinds of things that people have/are throwing away; things that you would never imagine could be used in home design, but end up being functional and phenomenal looking.

This is amazing - seems like this is really re-cycling at its finest! And wouldn't these houses be fun to come home to!
