Emma . Watson

I'm totally loving Emma Watson right now. Because of Harry Potter, she could easily be stuck in a very young look, but she always looks impeccable. Whether or not she's on the red carpet or in an editorial, she comes off as glamorous, ethereal, and well, just beautiful.

Yum

I'm obsessed with dessert lately. I mean, not that you'd ever have a difficult time selling me on it, but I go through "sweet tooth" phases. Sometimes I want a little something yummy at the end of every day, sometimes I can go months without the sugary goodies...but who can pass up treats this tasty??

Clean . Classic . Style

Both the beginning of fall and the end of winter make me want to run about in clothes that are easy to wear, and yet classic and chic. Combinations like the ones below look effortless. All you need is ponytail (one that's not too sleek) and a great bag:

Happy . Fendi . To . Me . Day

This is becoming somewhat of a tradition that takes place yearly, very close to my birthday. I should perhaps consider having a few more of these each year though!

Today the oh-so-lovely Fendi shoes that I've been coveting for nearly a lifetime arrived, and I'm head-over-heels for them!

Repo . the . Genetic . Opera

This is easily the most fun, visually interesting, completely worthwhile film that I've seen recently. I highly recommend it - but that being said, it probably won't be for everyone. It's a rock opera, so, no dialogue, lots of singing. And it's a horror film (lots of kind of silly looking organ removal). And Paris Hilton is in it (although she's surprisingly not annoying).

And it's brilliant. The cinematography is mesmerizing (watch it on Blu-Ray if possible). Most of the songs are so much fun, particularly the "organ jingle" for Gene Co.

A lot of the best parts go to people no one has ever heard of. The Grave Robber is played by someone who's only written and done art for storyboards on other films, and he's fantastic. Anthony Head - as Repo Man - will be recognized by people who used to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- I'm totally smitten with him.

One . Can . Dream...

If there were ever an ultimate gift that I could give my fiancé, this room filled with nicely organized records would be the winner, hands down:

P.S. My Blu-ray copy of Repo: The Genetic Opera just came from Netflix today! I've been waiting to see this movie for what seems like forever -- I'll post a review tomorrow!

Once . Wed

These pretty little images come from what is easily the most charming wedding blog around, Once Wed. Emily takes everything that is delicious and lovely about weddings and puts it all onto her blog: unique weddings, amazing photography, any kind of dress you can think (all pretty, of course), and scrumptious food:

Vova . Moldova

Iluchka has a charming new collection for winter, Vova Moldova. As with her other collections - Fairy Pale, Winterology, and Looking for Lola - Vova Moldova is brimming with charm. I'm smitten with the vintage look of the clothes and the fairytale quality of the photographs. If she ever published a coffee table book, I'd be the first in line for it!

Tom . Sachs

So I just found out that the Chanel Guillotine is a late 1990s installation by artist Tom Sachs. And what else could you buy to go along with your Chanel Guillotine?

A Chanel Chainsaw, of course:

Design . Envy

When I look through design magazines, I can take some solace in the idea that even though the interiors are gorgeous, these people have had time to prepare -- their home is in a photo shoot, after all. So while I do covet the rooms, I tell myself that they probably don't look that nice all of the time.

But now I'm going to have to spend the rest of the weekend hanging my head in shame, because the lovely lady who writes Beulah Designs has an honest-to-goodness stunning.cozy.lived in house. Seriously, it's amazing. And it's in a beautiful area of country. And she has cute dogs!

Pretty . Little . Wedding . Cakes

As pretty as they are, I can't see my fiance and me spending two or three thousand on a wedding cake. I know that for some people this is the right thing to do, but I can't stop looking at it like, "We can have an amazing cake" or "We can go on a really fabulous vacation." As much as I like cake, it doesn't win when I think of it that way. And since they're so lovely, there's a good chance I'd cry or have some kind of breakdown when someone cut into it -- not something that would be ideal during the reception.

However...I still make jealous eyes when I see really beautifully made wedding cakes. They are, in so many ways, perfection...albeit edible perfection!

Home Design: Bathroom/Bedroom

I love.love the idea of having a vintage looking tub mixed in with the bedroom! At first these two elements seem completely mismatched, but the combination creates the feel of an old-word dressing quarters (albeit luxurious ones with modern amenities). You would have to have exactly the right room and bathtub for this -- and I'd still want a stand-alone shower and the rest of the bathroom in an actual bathroom -- though I can't get over the idea of having my bedroom feel like a little getaway!
