... grow ...
It's rather a gloomy day here - though I'm found of a good rainy day from time to time - but to brighten things up a little, I thought I'd share an ETSY treasury that I created yesterday:

Vogue . Italia
I know that I've been a really.really bad blogger lately. This week is the end of the semester and we close on the house next Friday (yay!!). So that unfortunately means that I'm bogged down with stuff to do right now. I'll try to keep posting and visiting people's lovely blogs as often as possible though!
And speaking of lovely, have you seen the pictorial featuring Sasha Pivovarova (shot by Stephen Meisel) in the new Vogue Italia? Stunning.

Bits , of . Beauty
Jenn over at {Bits of Beauty} is doing something ever so lovely for this coming Mother's Day:
"So here's what I'm going to do. {Bits of Beauty} is on a mission to brighten the day of some deserving, beautiful single mamas. You see, I believe that when you feel blue, the best thing to do is to go do something good for someone else. To get rid of the darkness, you must bring someone else the light.

If you happen to know a single-mom who you know won't be having the Mother's Day she deserves, please e-mail BitsofBeauty@gmail.com with the following info:
* Your name & preferred e-mail address
* Her name & how to contact her
* How many kids & ages of children
* Location of Single Mama
* Why do you think she won't have the Mother's Day she deserves?
* Why do you think she deserves a better Mother's Day? {Tell me what makes her a great mom, a great person, etc. C'mon, sell her!}
* What could make her Mother's Day better?
{Pretty please, try to keep answers to 250 words or less!}
Please have all entries in by 11:59 P.M. EST on Thursday, May 7th."

Blossom
One of my favorite things about teaching at university in the spring is the way that the campus looks when everything finally blossoms. Much of the older portion of campus (my office included - hooray!) runs along the Red Cedar River. Accompanying this are a plethora of vibrant flowering trees and bushes that I could stare at for hours:

P.S. - Does anyone know what kind of flowering bush the red/peach is?

Room . Service
Perhaps my new favorite furniture store is the lovely Room Service. I came across this gem as I was browsing for velvet sofas and completely swooned! While they have a marvelous collection of furniture, I'm most smitten with their upholstered pieces:

The prices aren't dirt cheap by any means, but you can still get an amazing sofa for about 1/2 of what one would cost at Anthropologie
