Current Obsession

I don't really remember how I came across this video now - Pinterest? Could be. Pinterest is good for, like, everything - but I'm smitten with it. I suspect everyone else will be too. It's slow and perfect and you kind of can't take your eyes off of it.

P.S. - I actually had planned on starting to blog again as soon as I got back from Chicago this past Sunday, but I immediately came down with this throat.sinus.cold.thing, so ce la vie to best laid plans, right? In any case, Happy Thursday all!

It . Girl

{ Interview Russia via tFS }

Lana del Rey's new album (first album??) hits iTunes today, and I'm honestly pretty excited to give it a listen. About a month ago people were all crazy over her SNL performance, as though it were the worst ever. I loved it though. It was weird.lovely.amazing. She's kind of like the songstress version of a David Lynch film. So, perfect, even if you don't understand all of it.

Break . Up

Not that I'm a cheerleader for divorce or anything, but I have to say that Scarlett Johansson and her new music partner Pete Yorn would make a way cuter couple than SJ and Ryan Reynolds...

...just sayin'...

Bat . for . Lashes

So as I was hunting for these crazy cool bracelets (I think I'll end up having someone on ETSY make them for me), I found quite a few other stunning photographs of Bat for Lashes:

Love it.

Rocker . Chic

Le Fashion always.always has stunning pics posted -- it's a constant stream of fashion inspiration. So yesterday as I was browsing through her new posts, I came across this pretty little picture:

It's a pic of Natasha Khan from Bat for Lashes, and I'm desperate for the bracelet/series of bracelets she's wearing -- I'm totally smitten with this look!!

It looks like a series of leather cords, but I'm not sure -- can anyone else tell what this fabulous look is made up of?!!

Music . in . a . Foreign . Language

One of my favorite albums is Music in a Foreign Language by one of my favorite musicians ever, Lloyd Cole. This album was released about five years ago, and I continue to be mesmerized whenever I listen to it.

I saw Lloyd Cole in Chicago when he toured for this album, and it was perhaps the best show ever: just him, his guitar, and his glass of whiskey on stage. Perfection.

In my opinion the absolute best song on the album is the title song, and so I thought I'd share it: Music in a Foreign Language (Video)
