Get . MET

My favorite fashion time of year has arrived!! Tonight was the annual MET Gala, and while I was kind of disappointed at last year's garments, this year the dresses were stunning!

Sure, there were some big missteps (cough...cough...Madonna), but overall there were some perfectly fashion-forward and gorgeous looks:

Ashley Olsen

Kate Bosworth

Rachel Bilson
(I debated about whether or not this was dressy enough, but there's just something about the whole look that pops)

Liv Tyler

Leighton Meester
(Leighton was my personal fave for the evening - this is a really unexpected way to wear both a mini and bold patterns; she also looks like she's absolutely glowing.

A . Happy . Porch

Firstly, I have to say that I don't know what started this. It's mostly like I woke up one day, and I had somehow decided: I want a hanging egg chair for my enclosed porch.

I don't have any idea how comfortable one of these would be, but I'm smitten with the idea -- they just look so cool.

I would also take this other egg-like patio furniture from Pottery Barn, as it does look really comfortable and equally as appealing:

...but alas, this last gem has a $1300 price tag so I will just have to admire it from afar.

UPDATE: SOS!!! So, after some looking, pretty much all of the hanging egg chairs that I can find online are upwards of $600.00!! This makes me very frowny. Does anyone know of a source where these can be gotten a smidge less expensively?

Happy . Spring . Morning

See . by . Chloe

I almost always love dresses from Chloe - they're utlra feminine, come in gorgeous prints, and are pretty wearable. But the price tags are prohibitive - a day dress can set you back $2,000.

Thankfully there's also See by Chloe, the brand's less expensive, but not less attractive label. With a slew of cute sundresses to choose from (and all under $325!), it's hard to pass these up:

I . Want . Candy

After a large smattering of posts on accessories, it's no secret that I like oversized jewelry. I'll take a pretty statement necklace over delicate jewelry almost any day (unless the delicate pieces come from Tiffany and are covered in those sparkly little things people call "diamonds").

This love for oversized jewelry is why today, I'm completely miserable. I came across Raquel Castillo Designs and fell head-over-heels:

My misery is really only self-inflicted though, as I desperately want about 10 different necklaces from her store. I may just have to splurge on one for summer and then spend the rest of my days wandering around, searching for a real.live.tangible money tree.

Le Sigh...
