Rike . Feurstein

I never used to wear scarves, of any kind. I hated them because I didn't think that they looked right on me. Of course that's silly - everyone can wear scarves. I usually gravitate toward chunkier knits and oversized shawls, which is perhaps why I love Rike Feurstein.

Her cozy pieces are super pretty, look as though they'd easily keep you warm, and they come in soft neutrals or bright colors, so you can stand out a little more or less, depending on your mood.

P.S. - Don't forget to create an outfit for Polyvore's Mini Editor $1000 Giveaway - the more entries there are, the better!

Keepsakes

I am absolutely in love with this Shimmering Oak Photo Album from Anthropologie. It's $128.00, but doesn't it feel like this would be the perfect place to store important photos for, like, ever?

Accessorize . Me

I have a definite love/hate relationship with Forever21. To start with the bad, I hate having to deal with many of the people who work and shop there. When I popped in Wednesday, I had to listen to the two girls in line in front of me talk about a single tube of lip gloss for five minutes. Seriously. Five. Whole. Minutes.

This is outweighed by the good though, as you can snap up a crap ton of jewelry for practically nothing. As I've been on a bit of an accessory craze lately, I did just that:

And speaking of accessories, I also finally found some new sunglasses that I love/love and both pairs arrived in the mail this week!:

Handmade . Rainbow . Messenger

A little bit ago, I got an e-mail from a reader in Austria about a bag that she had made. Karin was inspired by a bag that I wrote about earlier in the year, and I have to say that I love.love what she came up with!

I like the slightly worn look to the leather and detailng. Where my bag is definitely a summer only bag, this pretty little thing would be perfect to use year round!

Fall . Trend {Thigh High Boots}

Of several popular fall trends, thigh high boots were by far the favorite. These tallest of all boots certainly aren't for everyone, but if you can pull them off, there are tons to choose from this fall!

There are also two different styles (well, three, if you count the vinyl ones that are for prostitutes): boots that have a slightly looser fit at the thigh -- these are best for wearing over jeans or leggings:

Chloe "Crosta" Boots, $1300.00
Chloe Flat Boot, $1295.00
Costume National, $1455.00

The second style is a bit more skin-tight, and they're mean to go under mini dresses and skirts. The effect is almost such that you're wearing very well-fitted leather pants:

Stuart Weitman "Hilo" Boot, $650.00
Stella McCartney Faux Leather Boot, $1355.00

If thigh high boots are a bit too high (and expensive), there are a lot of over-the-knee boots that are a bit more wearable, affordable, and give you a similar look:

7 for All Mankind, $550.00
Sam Edelman "Jackson" Boot, $199.00
Chinese Laundry "Nikka" Boot, $160.00

Turtle . Frog . Turtle

Due to some of the posts here, I've recently come across some insanely cool ETSY stores, and Paper Poppy Vintage is no exception. While her shop is filled with cool things, there are three pieces that really caught my eye:

I don't think I knew that this style of necklace came with anything other than an owl at the end (which I also love!), and these turtle and frog versions are just perfection!!

Chloe {For . Fall}

I love the way a lot of designer shoes look, but in all honesty, I wouldn't get much use out of a pair. For the kind of life that I have (and especially the kind of city I live in) 5" stilettos aren't going to work. A lot of designer shoes are also quite narrow, which doesn't work well for my not-so-narrow feet. One of the only labels to make fabulous looking shoes that are comfortable and practical is Chloe. Even the platforms and high wedges have thick heels and they're ultra cozy...

...which means I'm tearing out my hair about now, because Yoox has some crazy amazing Chloe shoes and boots for fall.

I was sadly not one of the winners of the 333 Million Dollar Mega Millions jackpot this past Friday, but if you were, would you like to buy me a few pairs of these pretty shoes?

Girl . Crush {Part I}

Garance Dore is a favorite street style blog -- the posts and photographs just seem so whimsical. Recently she seems to have come across practically the most adorable people ever!! She is now responsible for not one, but two of my girl crushes...

...the bangs, the dress, and THOSE TIGHTS!! In the words of Rachel Zoe, I die! While this girl (Tennessee, from the band, The Like) is a musician and can easily pull of cutesy heart tights, what do you think: would these work in the real world?

Swoon

I'm pretty sure that at some point in my life I need to own an Hermes Birkin, though it might take me selling a kidney on the black market to be able to pay for it. But then today as I was browsing eBay, I realized I might have to have & sell a first born child/win the lottery/stumble across a small fortune...

...it's got a $20,000 price tag, but OMG is it stunning. You can wear a trash bag and if you had this on your arm, you'd look fabulous.

Le sigh.

Lovely . Little . Vera

Vera Wang, Wedding, Fall 2009

Not that anyone ever needed to twist my arm to get me to like any of Vera Wang's clothes, but these are just too amazing for words. The dresses are crazy romantic, and I love the rhinestone detailing on the dresses or as added by a gorgeous necklace.

I think that these necklaces would look equally as pretty draped over a plain white tee! You can buy some of them at Saks

(or you can use the money to pay your rent for the month).

If you're perfectly in love with the style, but not the price tag, ETSY seller Flora Bond has an option that's every bit as pretty:

Gilt . Fuse

Gilt recently launched something of a sister site, Gilt Fuse. This arm of Gilt Group features more modern looks from younger designers, and many things are at a slightly lower price-point than on the original site.

In its second day of sales, there were a bevy of tempting.colorful shoes that would be the perfect pop of color to any fall outfit:
