{ Maxi Skirts }
Today is the coolest day in recent memory, so it may be the only day in some time where I'm able to wrap my mind around layering and warmer clothes. Some of these images I've been holding onto for what seems like forever, and some I've recently stumbled across...but here they are, F/W 2010 inspiration/trends:
1. Casual Chic - Please say good-bye to the Juicy sweats and Ugg combos. With all of the clothing options that we have today (at all price brackets), it's so easy to find garments that are both comfy and pretty.
2. Fur - Whether it's faux or real, new or vintage, fur is a trend that will always keep popping up. You can add a fur vest or coat to even the simplest outfit, and you'll instantly feel a little classy and tough all at the same time.
3. Chunky Knits - I love, love, love a good oversized sweater. If you find the right cut and fabric, you can feel like you're spending the day wrapped in a cozy blanket... without looking like it, of course.
4. Black - It's a color that's flattering on everyone and if you go head-to-toe, you don't have to worry about matching.
5. Maxi Skirts - I've found that this is the most difficult look to pull off, because it's really tough to find the right shoes to go with a floaty skirt in cold weather. Too slim and you look like you just forgot that it was cold outside, too heavy and the outfit feels weighted down. I like that these looks are both paired with classic oxfords - they're fun and feel season appropriate.
