It must have been an eon since I posted our bedroom and front porch before & afters, but I have finally have another to offer up: the formal dining room.
Before:
After:
What we did:
- ripped off the wallpaper (honest to goodness, the first thing that I did once we had the keys)
- painted the walls // door // trim white
- took out the laminate floors and installed Brazillian Cherry hardwood
- put up new floor molding // trim + white wainscoting going into the room.
- lots of pretty green plants.
Total cost (labor + furniture + materials ) = $1200.00

So pretty! Love the chandelier!
GORGEOUS! Where did you get the dress form?!
^^ Thank you! It's from an antique store near where I live.
So pretty! You can be proud! And although the lottery would have been nice - you can REALLY be proud of all the work that you have done!
Clean and crisp. And I love the classic black and white. You might groan out loud but I have a soft spot for your now-dead-and-gone maroon floral wallpaper.
^^ No groaning out loud! I actually really like a lot of different kinds of wallpaper, but since the room is kind of small and the color was so dark, it felt really heavy in the space.
I actually thought about putting up another wallpaper!
Wow, what a transformation! It looks so beautiful after!

That wallpaper... Wow... It must have been satisfying to take it down!
such a fantastic job .... is it sad that I kind of don't hate the wallpaper? lol I love all the plants/greenery ...and Such a great chandelier too.

p.s. do you have a spare room? kidding. kind of!
Your dining room is lovely! It's so bright and fresh, and I love all of the plants. Buh-bye to that heinous wallpaper.
This is really beautiful. And I have an almost identical chandelier above my dining table that came with our house.
