Lisa . Brown

While I'm fairly certain that these pretty frocks from Lisa Brown are considered ready-to-wear, don't you think they'd make the loveliest summer or destination wedding dresses? I'm partial to the last one, but that may just be because it has sequins all about the top :)

Lanvin . I . Hate . You

... but only because I love you so much! Today I found EXACTLY what I want to wear to get married in. EXACTLY. I've lusted over beautiful wedding dresses before, but this is the first time I've said, "That is what I want to be married in."

It's perfect. It has little sleeves, it's got a slim silhouette, it's not too frou frou, and it has just enough detail to make it special.

It's actually a tiered skirt and top. While the top is a very manageable "I'd order you right now" $600, the skirt costs... wait for it... $3200.00. Big pouty, frowny face.

I've spent a good chunk of change before on a bag or a fur vest, but $3200 on a skirt just seems like, well, a lot. Le sigh...

No . Words

As I was browsing dresses online this morning, I came across perhaps the most beautiful dress I've ever laid eyes on:

It's a limited edition wedding dress by Anne Valerie Hash, and as soon as I saw it I knew that I would have to have it for my wedding.

And then it took me about 10 minutes of staring at the numbers and counting zeros to make sure I was reading the price tag correctly: $81,000.00.

I kept thinking, "That must say $8,100.00 and I'm just reading it wrong," and in which case I would promptly sell my car to buy this frock. But no.

On the plus side, that includes shipping. However, even if I won a one hundred million dollar lottery today, I don't think I could bring myself to spend that much on one dress... but I might be a bit pouty today anyway.

Available at LuisaViaRoma.

Cory & Chris

I completely love the bright colors that this adorable bride & groom chose for their wedding, don't you? Somehow the bold blue hues seem unexpected, but perfect just the same. And it doesn't hurt anything that her Lela Rose wedding gown is positively gorgeous!

1920s . I {Heart} You

B. and I have been engaged for almost two years now and still haven't made a single wedding plan. We're both pretty laid back and agreed that we'd plan the wedding whenever it seemed to feel right with whatever else was going on in our lives. What this means though is seemingly endless amounts of time to hem and haw over what kind of a wedding dress I'd like. (I sort of feel like I should start with the dress and we can go from there.)

The dress that I pretty much love right now comes from Shrimpton Couture, a website that's filled with the most amazing vintage pieces.

It's $975.00, and while that's not too bad for a wedding dress, it's not cheap enough to snap up and think about for awhile. But I do love the ultra delicate detailing, and this would be perfect for any kind of wedding: outdoors in the summer, a pretty church wedding in the spring, or even running down to city hall.

It also reminds me of the kind of perfect/kind of wonderful 1920s wedding that Ed & Ginny had, as posted on Once Wed.

Le sigh...

What's . On . Your . Feet?

Before I started reading the delightful wedding blog, Once Wed I didn't give much thought to what kind of shoes I'd want to wear at my wedding. After seeing all of the cute shots of the shoes of the bride and groom, it's a completely different story.

Though I must admit that one of my favorite wedding shoe moments comes from Snippet & Ink via A Cup of Jo:

I don't have the dress yet, but I've been looking for ballet flats that are that perfectly yellow ever since!

Pretty . Little . Flowers

Dreamhouse has the cutest.ever Easter post, which contained a photo of vintage egg cups filled with pretty little flowers:

Even though they're intended for Easter, I think these would be smashing sitting atop individual place settings at a wedding reception!

And perhaps they would match this Lela Rose dress:

And go with this kind of an outdoor wedding (from Once Wed):

Wedding . Ruffles

When I first saw the tiered Analisa dress from JCrew, I kind of liked it. The layers of ruffles are gorgeous, but something about the proportioning of the dress makes it look bulky.

So as I was browsing through ETSY yesterday -- a dangerous habit, to be sure -- I came across The Intrepid Evening Dress by Amour sans Anguish:

...I definitely fell in love a little bit when I saw the dress on ETSY (right). It has the gorgeous ruffles of the Analisa dress (left), but a far more elegant silhouette. And considering it's so pretty AND handmade, it's probably really expensive, right?

Nope -- the JCrew Analisa Dress = $3,000; the Intrepid Evening Dress = $398!!!

Which is your favorite?
