Timeless . Vixen . Vintage

While I'm deeply attached to all of the technology that's developed recently (you couldn't get me to give away my iPhone if you tried your best), one regret that I have about living today is that unless you belong to a relatively small group of wealthy people, you don't have much excuse to dress up on a regular basis. I wear sundresses throughout much of the spring and summer, but I want to be able to go places where I can toss on a ballgown -- something frou-frou with lots of lace and tulle.

This lack of opportunity is one of the reasons why looking through Timeless Vixen Vintage's Store is made all the more painful. Each confection in this lovely shop is a stunning example of early-mid 20th century formal fashion. I'm smitten with every piece, and particularly in love with the 1920s beaded flapper dresses!! (*Cough* *Cough* Christmas in July, anyone??)

Wow, that's some really nice stuff! But I would NEVER have an occasion to wear any of it, sadly. :-(

I so love these dresses. I just wish more vintage dresses came in my size. I don't understand how women managed to whittle their waists away without even going to the gym. More home cooking and fewer processed foods? Wish I knew the answer.

You have a knack for finding things that make me swoon, literally! Now, if only I could find a reason to justify purchasing one of these. Maybe I could get married...again? :)

I know what you mean! Everyday life needs more red carpet events. I guess we only really have balls, the odd costume party, weddings - and that's it!

Gasp! What a gorgeous shop! Like you, I would love to have more occasions to dress up. I really want an excuse to buy one of these gorgeous gowns!

I hope your move went well. I know it's a huge amount of work, but nesting in the new place is so exciting! Doing the full-home renovations, we used to move every 7-9 months (finish a house, list it, sell it, move on to the next one). While I'm not super-happy that the real estate market took a downturn and has kept us in the house that we're in, it is nice to be settled in somewhere for a while!
