Botanical . Wall

In the process of tearing up the house, we're also doing some re-purposing of rooms, and a smidge of redecorating. I really liked how the bedroom turned out the first time, but it wasn't quite what I wanted. So it's once again a work-in-progress, but even so, I wanted to show everyone the new pieces over the headboard:

Awhile back at a local library sale, I found a book of botanical prints. The images are perfect for our house - just add $2.50 document frames and up they go!

Reader help question: I love, love, love our bed frame, but because of the strong print, I'm having trouble deciding on what to do with the pillows. Plain cases seems too messy. Does anyone have suggestions for shams that might fit with the rest of the room AND go with the print on the bed?

I would probably be looking to pull in some of the solid colors from the flowers in nice fitted shams. The pink and or the orange are really calling to me.

Wow, I love the prints and the headboard!!!!!

Hmmm, I like mixing of prints. What about black and white stripes? Is this too crazy?

I agree with Elsiee - pulling in some pink and orange would be nice. Your bedroom is looking great!

Looks fabulous! Maybe I'm boring, but I'd try to find a graphic, non-floral green print for your pillow cases.

I {love} all of the ideas so far!! I definitely think a graphic or colorful element in the shams would be perfect!

Ooo, I have the same bed! I love it, it really compliments the room. I chose all white bedding that has a soft, barely noticeable pattern. And then I have a pink and grey graphic throw that I sometimes place at the foot. :)

I totally WISH that I could have all white bedding!! Swoon...

unfortunately with three cats it would take about 1 day to go from white to not so white :(

i think a black and white or green shams would be fab! or if you can find botanical accent print pillows, you can just add that to the mix. whee!

I would match the green (in a different texture) and add some pop with fuchsia!

i would say to do a black and white theme with pops of the green you already have going on. too much color might be just that...too much. I LOVE the botancial prints and the headboard!

Definitely stripes. I think b&w ones would be to matchy-matchy with the headboard. A bright pop of color would be amazing!
