While I love going to the farmer's market in the summer, early to mid fall is my favorite - there's the perfect mix of late leafy veggies and heartier roots, like carrots, beets, and potatoes. The haul today: giant red beets, jumbo fresh eggs, beefsteak tomatoes, and a whole slew of elephant garlic.

I'm in love with this post. Fall has such a delectable bounty of my favorite vegetables. However, I'm so sad that blueberry season is over. At the grocery store, it's back to nearly $4 for a little carton. Pout.
mmmm everything looks delicious! Except the flowers, they just look really pretty :)
WOW! These images are amazing. Looks like you may have another side business... :)
Beautiful pics! I was so excited to see the tiny pumpkins and squashes at my farm stand, but it's still too hot and occasionally still humid here, and unfortunately they rot if I buy them too early. I did, however, stock up on root veggies, and cooked a "comfort" meal of roast chicken & veggies. Yum, great intro to fall. This weekend - some sort of autumn desert is in order.
