The other day I stumbled across Of Another Fashion, a lovely site with a collection of pretty amazing vintage fashion photos. Noticing that many recent fashion exhibitions had primarily focused on the style of, "bourgeois white women," the curator set out to, "expand this narrow view of American fashion, [by] collecting home and professional photographs, magazine articles and advertisements, retail packaging, and garments and accessories of, by, and about women of color from various archives, rare and out-of-print books and magazines, and - most importantly - [photographs] from the public."
Visit Of Another Fashion to browse the rest of their archive, or to submit your own photographs.

These images are fantastic. The first one is just perfect.
Have a lovely day.
These are wonderful! (I will definitely be heading over to see more. Which reminds me, did you see the old images on the Sartorialist - I think he may have started collecting the images and stories last year sometime. Just incredible - especially having the story behind each.)
Those are so gorgeous! Great find. I really love the very first one...so classy.
