Sorry for the delay in new posts, but I've been blissfully away from the internet for a full three days! A friend of ours has a cabin in northern Michigan that's about as close to the middle-of-nowhere as you can get, and so that's where I've been hiding out!


This time of year everything is covered in layers of snow; the lake that the cabin sits on is completely frozen, and you can walk all of the way across!


It was just a small group of friends, and it was the perfect little getaway: we slept in, drank way too much coffee, went hiking, chopped firewood, cooked, drank wine, played games, sat in front of the fire -- so much fun!
