What I discovered was that, even in these more difficult financial times, things at Anthropologie only seem to be increasing in price. Some of their winter coats now cost upwards of $500!! And their furniture...well, it's pretty enough that I'd like to have some in every room of my house...
...but for the price of just one sofa, I could easily cut off a big chunk of our mortgage! I can see saving and then splurging on something like a $1500 sofa, but the $6,000 price tag that hangs off of some of Anthro's pieces is just a smidge too much.

oooh how i wish that weren't the case (the high prices that is).
I would die for that floral chair!!
Spacify.com has one of the largest selections of Furniture Design on the web so check it out.
sad to say at those prices, the anthro catalog is just a "look book"... but what looks they are!!
Anthro's prices are slaying me...but they are so damn fabulous!
I agree. . .who pays that for furniture? It is fun browse through the catalog for inspiration!
Hmmm...I don't feel like their prices are increasing all that much. There have always been a few "whoa wtf" prices on things like dresses, etc, and their furniture has always been extremely high. I do think that the prices haven't DROPPED at all, though, which is unfortunate.
So I shall continue to stalk their sale rooms....
That poppy chair is gorgeous! Oh Anthro, I wish I could afford you...
*gasp* That Louis XIV style armchair is stunning stunning stunning.
omg... and have you seen the rugs? I have floor envy...
Oh, I would just explode into confetti if I had the funds to fill my house and wardrobe with anthropologie items! Once, I was browsing their clearance section in their shop, and I got the most gorgeous silk dress for $15!! I felt tingly all over. However, the rest of their items were on clearance for $80-$300...
the CHESTERFIELD - looking style is on my list!
