When we head to B.'s family for the holidays, there are a lot of people there. So one of the most important things is to get there early and get a good room, so as you're not sleeping on the couch or on the foldout with the dog. We usually stay in a smaller upstairs room with wonderful creaky wooden floors, sloped ceilings, an old four-poster bed, and a little window that lets in just the right amount of light.
Where do you stay when visiting friends and family?

good lord, i wish i was staying in a room that looked like one of these!!!!
my choices at my mom's place aren't too terrible. one room has a semi-decent bed; the other room has THE WORST BED EVER MADE, but it is at least cute. :)
