Alexis . Goes . Punk

I was completely over this whole 80s fashion resurgence thing before it even started, and despite the fact that someone has piled every bad 80s trend possible onto Alexis Bledel, I think she looks fantastic. If anyone wants to start to a petition to have like a zillion more seasons of Gilmore Girls, I'm so there!!

Heck yes! A zillion more! Mother got me the entire series last year and I have watched it through a million times (okay- like 2). Right now I am watching through Season 6. Rory and Lorelia are fighting because Rory dropped out of Yale. Drama, drama... I love the Yale time of Rory's life. But I could definitely handle the show continuing until Rory is like... 50.

Oh- and seriously- can Alexis EVER look bad? Not possible.

Alexis Bledel would look good in anything, wouldn't she? She is absolutely gorgeous! I watched that silly Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie just because she was in it. Ok, perhaps I also watched it because I'm a chick flick fan, don't tell anyone and please don't judge me. ;)

I cannot believe that you grew up visiting the Crossville area! There isn't much going on there, but if you haven't been in the past few years, you'd be amazed at the growth. The place has been "discovered". I've only been up to Fairfield Glade once, but it is becoming downright fancy now, with a new community center, doctor offices, 3 golf courses, the lakes of course, big grocery stores and businesses springing up.

My husband (then boyfriend) and I started going up to Cumberland Mountain State Park in 2001. He had been to the restaurant a few times as a kid because his grandmother lived about 30 minutes away. His uncle (who sadly passed away at 20) had been a lifeguard at the park in the 1950's, so my hubby felt a special kinship with the place. We've been staying at the rustic cabins and hiking at the park several times a year ever since. It is so homey to us. We haven't stayed at "the cabin" as we call it since winter, and we are craving some cabin time!
